Gov. Peter Obi's government to spend N6.9bn in Anambra West by Sunday Okoye(Awka)

The anambra state government through the governor has said that they have heard the cry of the people of Anambra West Local Government Area. In an interview with the press at Awka during the installation of the Anambra West Representative at the State house of Assembly-Hon. Victor Jideofor Okoye who recently defected to APGA from ACN after his victory at the tribunal; Obi said his government was currently doing over N6.9b road project in the area apart from other projects like water. He also said the Otuku Bridge which is the second longest bridge after Odo Bridge had been completed in the area. The bridge connects the two communities of Umueze Anam and Mmiata Anam both in Anambra West.
The governor said his government was not going to relent in its developmental efforts in the area as it was going to embark on more projects.

The APGA state party chairman, Mike Kwentoh, also expressed delight at the decision by Hon. Okoye to join APGA and described it as courageous. ‘APGA’s development strides in Anambra West will continue and I’m especially happy that all this is happening during my tenure as chairman,’ Kwentoh stated, even as he pointed out that the party would now continue to enjoy majority in the house which it had seized for the first time.

Hon. Victor said that his cross carpeting is as result of his belief in the political ideology of APGA through Governor Obi who has remembered his people. He promised to work with the APGA government for speedy development of the area.
